Le Triporteur Culinaire - Tasting Lebanon on Wheels

Welcome aboard our traveling culinary stage — Le Triporteur Culinaire — where every stop is a feast, every road a path to connection, and every flavor a story waiting to be told. In partnership with the Lebanon Mountain Trail Association, this moving experience brings Lebanon’s regional richness to your plate… under the open sky.

Introduction

Concept: A Moving Feast

Le Triporteur Culinaire is a gastro-cultural journey on wheels. From remote mountain villages to coastal cliffs, our triporteur travels across Lebanon to deliver pop-up tastings, culinary demonstrations, wine tastings and storytelling sessions centered on local ingredients, regional recipes, and the people who keep them alive.

Where We Go

  • Mountain trails & rural villages (in coordination with the Lebanon Mountain Trail)
  • Local markets, guesthouses & wineries
  • Farmer’s cooperatives and harvest festivals
  • Pop-up events on beaches, squares, and souks

Each location offers a unique themed experience based on its terroir.

What Happens There

  • Live cooking demos with chefs and local cooks
  • Tastings of regional cheese, olive oil, honey, preserves, etc.
  • Culinary storytelling with food historians, farmers, and grannies
  • Wine or arak pairings with local products
  • Cultural touchpoints — music, crafts, or oral traditions
  • Imagine a sunset in Akkar with Saj Mille-Feuille, a layered mana’eesh with hand-foraged za’atar, labneh pearls, and a drizzle of aged pomegranate molasses reduction.
